"As inspiring a story as you’ll ever read, Mark Pishotta tells the story of his daughter Kadina’s life as seen through her eyes. Kadina is unable to verbally communicate as she lives with a condition called WAGR, Kadina’s father Mark doesn’t that let that stop him from sharing her life with all of us.

I will preface this by saying that I don’t read often but once I started this book I had difficulty in putting it down. Mark is a great storyteller and writing it from Kadina’s perspective really made the trials and tribulations of Kadina’s life that much more real.

Mark tells the story of his daughter from the day she was born up until her 10th birthday; it certainly has been a roller coaster of emotions for Mark, Kadina and the entire Pishotta family. As Mark and Jennifer venture out into the unknown of what was in front of them from doctor’s visits, to surgeries, to day care conundrums and learning about the WAGR syndrome they never lost faith and they never stopped loving. Faith and love can get you through almost anything, together Mark and Jennifer also learned patience, another key ingredient into raising their adorable little girl. As Mark is taking Kadina to endless doctor visits, reading and learning about WAGR and working he never let that get in the way of something just as important, his marriage with Jennifer. He made sure no matter how hectic things were he’d always stay connected with Jennifer and continue to make good on his vows, the vows of marriage. Mark and Jennifer already busy with a more hectic than normal day to day life brought two more gifts into their lives; Kadina is a big sister to two little brothers. Mark tells us that with faith and his wife it made things a little easier but he wouldn’t have been as successful; had he not had his family, friends and all the wonderful people at the hospitals, schools and various organizations to help Kadina along in her journey. Mark is not only a wonderful story teller he will leave you breathless as you read his many poems he shares with us in this story; each time I read one of the poems, I’d read it again as I wanted to be sure I didn’t miss any of the beautiful messages shared.

This book will restore your faith in humanity as you will see all of the beautiful people out there helping this beautiful little girl. You will see two wonderful parents giving their everything to ensure Kadina lives as normal a life as anyone else would. You will see a devoted father who has taken life’s curveballs and hit them out of the ballpark as he never let one struggle neither keep him down nor destroy his spirit and love of life and his blessed little doll, Kadina.

I’d recommend this to anyone who wants to see the good in people, to understand other people have the same struggles as you and that love and faith can pull you through! - Rocco
